Contrary to some other reviews, Viking Beyla at the end of April was able to cruise the entire itinerary of the Elbe river, and it was really beautiful! The boat was brand new and very well appointed. Rooms and balconies were spacious. We were able to sit on our balcony and watch the river go by. The staff was very excited to be on this itinerary and their exuberance showed. They were very helpful and made the overall experience lots of fun.

The ports were interesting - I never thought that I would be seeing the old East Germany and it was quite fascinating. We enjoyed the historical perspective. The local guides were great and really gave context to what we were seeing. The food was good - many local favorites such as different sausages and bratwurst which were terrific. Dinner had at least one local dish on the menu.

Hotels in Berlin and Prague were high-end and very well located.
