It is difficult to specifically identify a particular aspect of the cruise that made the cruise excellent...it was a diffusion of many aspects. My wife suffers from acute Irritable Bowel Syndrome and usually "accommodates" the menu to minimise the impact but chef on the Skirnir was determined to ensure the food served to my wife had no impact on her at all. He took time from his busy schedule to meet one-on-one with my wife each morning after breakfast to discuss the day's evening menu and establish a "few deviations" that was a compromise of the excellent cuisine served on-board and what my wife's condition could handle.
The bar and food staff were simply awesome...they were friendly, helpful, compassionate, lovable, entertaining, ..... just fantastic. Nothing was a problem and a problem was nothing.
Our cabin attendant, Archie, was always ready to provide assistance with a cheery attitude.
Our cabin was above expectations...always clean, well stocked and plenty of room to move around.
Amsterdam is an amazing city. It is difficult to see so many highlights in a short time available.
