I have never been on any cruise, ocean or river and had no real desire to do either. I visited my son in the military in Germany and while touring Rhineland-Falz, I asked someone what the funny looking long boats with windows were doing moving up and down the river. After learning that they were river cruise ships, the first thing I found out was "Viking Cruises" were the best. We scheduled a cruise down the Rhine river for July-2015 for our 25th wedding anniversary and had one of the best vacations of our lifetime. Everything was perfect. Every need and want was met and every detail was thoughtfully planned. As I have a permanent disability, all accommodations needed were provided. We met great people, visited beautiful towns and cities travelling through Europe via the Rhine River. We have definitely decided to take another cruise and will not wait 25 more years either.
