We sailed on the same cruise as "Monica Loves to Cruise" below and had an absolutely fabulous holiday. This was the 16th cruise we have taken and was certainly one of the most enjoyable.
Although I agree with virtually all Monica's comments, I disagree strongly with her overall assessment which is why I have given the Jade such a low final score. We met a fantastic group of people on the first day and throughout the 12 days it was like being at a continual party. That is what made this cruise so enjoyable for us. The NCL Jade made only a passing contribution to our overall enjoyment. I think Monica probably conducted a similar approach which is why she too had a great holiday.
Let me explain. NCL is now copying tactics used by cut-price airlines. Good value deals on the cabins but once passengers are on board, things become different. NCL charge passengers a fortune for the "incidentals".
Hallway was quiet and little outside noise was heard. Eastern music could sometimes be heard from the adjacent cabin however. I thought the cabin was very well appointed. The bathroom less so because they had attempted to divide it into 3 with interior sliding doors. The WC in particular was poorly sited and therefore cramped.
