Cabin: Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

So my fiancé and I are celebrating our wedding on board the Allure coming up in February. We decided on a very last minute cruise because we couldn't wait till then and booked the Independence for labor day week on a whim. We got a FANTASTIC deal on a balcony guarantee and we were set.

One area I couldn't find a lot of information on here about was guarantee rooms. This was my first time every doing this. For last minute I would do it again definitely. If I was booking any more than three months out I wouldn't. They gave us our room assignment about 5 days after we booked since it was a month before we left that we booked. The room was fantastic honestly! PERFECT location in the middle of the ship one floor up from the Royal Promenade and just the right distance away from the elevators to be close but not too close to avoid noise.

I'm going to try to split this up day by day...here we go.

Cabin Review

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Balcony

Cabin E1

Cabin was in a GREAT LOCATION!!!!! The room was what you would expect from a basic balcony. No hot water at all and the a/c needs fixed.

Port Reviews

Fort Lauderdale (Port Everglades)

We live here so I don't really understand why anyone would take an excursion to Sawgrass Mills but definitely check out the everglades if you have time or just go to the beach!

Labadee

Hate the beach at Labadee. WAY TO ROCKY! If you want to do the zip line be prepared to pay $100 for 90 seconds of fun.

Falmouth

Love the shopping but it's like a disney version of Jamaica. Fake but good for tourists.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Great developed beautiful island.

Cozumel

The water was absolutely gorgeous. We took a cab and went to Playa Mia on our own. Our admission and taxi was $50 less per person than the people that booked an excursion to it through the cruise.
