We were a group of 19, some staying in the luxurious haven suite. They were waited on hand and foot by smiling, English speaking attendants. But I found the bulk of the staff were robotic and not truly welcoming. They'd say yes ma'am without really listening to your question/request. We had an unlimited drink package and they sure took their times serving them. And again, not with the smiles and greetings you expect from bartenders. Kind of a pain to have to have your card run and sign for every single drink, even Pepsi.

I'm a smoker. Not proud of it, but some of us still do. I read the review from a non-smoker who was driven away from the decks and casino table by smokers. It would be nicer for the non-smokers too to which have specific areas where it is allowed. They have ashtrays on the walls of some of the deck halls, no chairs or area, you just have to stand by the ashtray. Cold and windy. The ship is huge, they certainly could find an area or room or one bar that we could be comfortable as well as the non-smokers. Even in the casino the only bar to sit at and smoke has machines built into the surface. It was costing me $20 to have a cigarette! I was able to smoke on my own balcony on my last cruise, not allowed on this ship.

The food was good but inconsistent from one restaurant to the next. Portion size varied which made it hard to know how much to order. The Brazillian steak house dinner ($20 upcharge) was so slow to bring out the steaks, trying to get us to fill up on chicken and sausage. Some of the live music very good, the karaoke selection pitiful. The private karaoke rooms were really nice.

Mid-Ship Balcony

Nice, clean, typical balcony size.
