This was now our 4th time sailing with RC and in my view you cant beat The Independence of the Seas. Anthem is like the others a lovely looking and well decorated ship with lots of wacky furniture throughout, but certain things let it down. Best advice book all restaurants while in the UK because once on board I found that all the times available were either very early, or very late. Best two restaurant's were Silks and Chic, service and food amazing. Windjammers staff attentive and such a variety of different nationality foods. Grande was a disappointment short staffed and small portions of food, cancelled the other two dates while still sat at the table. My big issue regarding food is that if you are gluten free variety is very limited. Menus, websites publicise, but staff either don't want to assist, or simply this food has not been placed on the ship. No GF sausages, burgers, Biscuits, waffles. Staff made pancakes but not willingly, all seemed too much trouble to do. You must insist by speaking to the head of the area your requirements.

Due to wanting an ocean view the only deck was deck 3 what a bad decision. In room 3158 was woken each morning 2am by staff below moving equipment, or on one day the gangway right outside our window, all you could hear was the bleep of the checking out machine. This room should never be used by a paying customer or major soundproofing needed.

Entertainment by Bobby Davro great, highlight of the cruise. Unlike Independence who had a variety of entertainers this ship did not. Every night Rock the Boat band in one of the bars sang the same songs and shouted most of them. Entertainment was either very early or after 10pm in most bars which when you have eaten around 7pm you want to then be entertained afterwards.

Cabin Review

Ocean View Connected Stateroom

Cabin OC

Decorated nicely, not enough hanging space, safe in cupboard which took up too much valued space, noisy from staff below beyond a joke. Stay away from this room.
