With just 24 hrs. Notice and no chance to respond, we were advised our cabin was being changed to a "slightly smaller" one on the same floor. when we boarded, we were shown to a single cabin stuffed to the walls with a queen bed. since the boat was fully booked, we had no other choice but to grin and bear it. we have never in all our travels ever been downgraded!!!!! the food was adequate. the service spotty at best because the inexperienced help is only hired for 3 mos. And cannot sign up again for a year. this makes for mistakes in dining room orders, as well as service. also, our room was not cleaned for 2 of the 7 days. the leg on one of the beds was broken and went unrepaired. a fellow passenger was allowed to play his trumpet nightly after 9:30 p.m. passenger complaints were ignored for 2 days. having taken over 125 cruises (including 15 river cruises), this was our first and last acl cruise. be forewarned!! This is the trip from hell!!!!!!!!!

New Orleans

Visiting the antebellum homes was one of the only nice aspects of this cruise. Docents were knowledgeable and professional. The estates were very lovely.
