My husband and I are very experienced travelers and I am a Gold level passenger on NCL. NCL is a good value cruise line, but you have to actively plan ways to make your voyage enjoyable.

Overall comments:

* It is not a cruise for foodies. The food is average at best. However, you can always make yourself a fresh salad at the salad bar and eat some pretty decent Indian food. The buffet is over-crowded and under-serviced. It is best to go there at off hours. We had the specialty restaurant package which was included in our package. We ate at Moderno twice only for the salad bar. (Did not enjoy the meat selections) Teppanyaki was absolutely awful, we even wrote complaints on our bill. Waited 35 minutes for a drink and our entire table was abandoned. Le Bistro was good, liked it better than Cagney's. The best decision we made was to have continental breakfast delivered to our room (free of charge) each morning.

Our mini-suite balcony cabin was clean, big, and had a bathtub and fantastic shower.
