We had never gone on a cruise before, but my parents had gone 3 times on a Norwegian ship already. My parents stayed in the adjoining room and my family of 4 stayed in the next room. We had a great stay and will no doubt go back to Bermuda with Norwegian again soon.
The Dawn was a beautiful ship. The staff kept everything so clean. It was amazing to see them work 24/7 on the floors, walls, and rooms. They never stopped, and it was much appreciated. The use of sanitizer at each dining location also made us happy since it helped to reduce the spread of infection.
The food was unreal. We ate so well the entire trip. The buffet was perfect for breakfast. The free dining spaces were our lunch and dinner destinations. We loved the Venetian, Aqua, and Bamboo. I can't see a reason to eat at a speciality restaurant since the food was so good at the complimentary locations. I loved how there were several cookouts set up by the pool and the bar above the pool always had hamburgers and hot dogs ready. The wait staff at each location was so attentive and personable. They treated my two sons really well. The mixed drinks were made well, though pricey if not on the beverage package. My only complaint would be that dinner often took 90 minutes to complete from appetizer to dessert, which could impact evening shows and other plans.
The cabin was small, but it was about the size we expected. In the future, we will opt for a balcony room so that we have extra space and the ability to sit outside with fresh air. The room was more than enough space for us to sleep, with 4 separate twin beds (including 1 in the wall). If we had to spend more time in the room, it would have been difficult, but it was just a place to sleep and shower for the day. The room attendant was outstanding. She did a great job changing out the towels each day and the place was immaculate in the morning and night when she turned down the beds.
