I just returned from my second cruise on the Breakaway this year. The first I was a solo cruiser and this time I took my three children, 15, 12, & 10. Overall I had a great time. Embarkation went very smoothly. Our stateroom was your typical small cabin. The balcony was the smallest of any ship I've ever been on. Having my three children in the same room required the hidden bed as well converting the couch. I was really disappointed that they left the room like this the entire week. On other cruise lines they return the couch and the hide a bed to its original position.

The food was plentiful as always. We ate in Cagney's twice and it was excellent both times. We attended Cirque. The performer's strength and flexibility were incredible. The menu was fixed. The steak was excellent but the shrimp tasted like they had been sitting around for a while. Teppanyaki was excellent! The chef was fabulous, as was the food! We also ate in La Cucina and the Brazilian restaurant, both of which were very good. Le Bistro was a disappointment. The staff was the worst on the ship. The service was slow until they wanted us to pay and leave. Even the woman at the door had a puss on her face. Interestingly they don't display the dinner reservations on the TV with all the others.

My 15 year old son absolutely loved Entourage (13-17)! Being a typical teen, I consider this quite a feat. He had nothing but praise for the counselors and the activities. Sadly I can not say the same for the activities for the 10-12 group. It was held in the Bliss Lounge most of the time. I assume this was done as a result of limited space on a full ship. They attended twice, at my insistence the second time, and they hated it! They said the activities were terrible. They spent a lot of time playing hot potato with a ball. A third time they went because it was held in Entourage before it opened to the teens. That was the only time they enjoyed themselves as the area was appropriate for them, as opposed to a bar room.
