Having sailed on Oasis last year and Freedom 2 years ago, I was concerned to drop "down" to Adventure, but wanted to see some new destinations that requires starting at a place further south. Well it was good for me to remember what is most important on a cruise, service and the stops. Because the ship is a bit older, excellent price too, and flying from Michigan to Puerto Rico was much easier than I thought. 2 hours to Atlanta, 3 hours to Puerto Rico, good connections and the airport to cruise ship a $30 cab ride for six people, 15 minutes, easy. My only regret was not staying a couple of days in Puerto Rico before or after the cruise.

Embarkment easy, don't be afraid of the lines, they move fast. The ship is fine, easy to navigate, lots to do, just needs updated colors and art. Well I don't really understand art on cruise ships anyway, would prefer large photographs of the places we are stopping at for inspiration than the stuff called art on the walls. I digress. Had an aft cabin, which we like, especially when sailing away from islands, beautiful sunsets with a bottle of champagne. We had rooms 7388, 7390 and 7392 hoping we could open the balconies up, you can't, glass inserts. The junior suite was not much better than the regular room. The end corner room had the smallest shower ever, but the best balcony catching breezes the others could not. I imagine this is true on all aft floors, shoot for the corner rooms on either side, who cares about the space inside.

Room service speedy though offerings minimal. And the dining on the ship was the best part about this ship. The main dining room is beautiful, elegant and stately. Loved it. Our service was impeccable, especially Mr. G (Natish) who made the experience wonderful. This is our 10th cruise, and the dining service on the Adventure was the best. Enjoyed a meal at Giovani's. We went night 2 and even though a formal night, the menu was less than formal in main dining room so I would recommend this night for Giovannis. The tenderloin was fantastic.

Cabin Review

Junior Suite

Cabin JS

Had 7392, 7390, 7388 hoping to open the balcony, you cannot. The corner unit was small on inside with really small bathroom but best balcony with views from front and back allowing for breeze. The junior suite was just a little bigger and view and balcony the same so save a couple of bucks and get a regular aft cabin. It is for the balcony, and the balcony is worth the aft cabin, 2 loungers, great sunset views as you leave ports, which you do every night except one.
