The cruise was great! But, don't have high hopes for the food. It all looks good but tastes like cardboard. A lot of choices when it comes to the buffets but the quality leaves a lot to be desired! The La Bistro was a prime choice for dinning! The food was excellent, well done, presented well and the taste was fantastic. The problem was you had to pay EXTRA for the accommodations! Not what you would expect from a noted cruise line. The ship is old. Maintenance issues were not addressed in a timely manner. The hand rail was loose when we boarded the ship and during the cruise it FELL OFF. An officer removed the item and we next noticed it in the trash. Is that how maintenance is performed? Seems to me it should have been considered a safety issue and addressed with high priority. The excursions we booked were through a travel guide and were fantastic adventures. I understand some of the excursions booked by the cruise line were cancelled. Again, this doesn't bode well of the cruise line. Because of the above issues I do not feel the cruise was of good value. It was just so so. I would recommend a different cruise line than Norwegian Pearl!
