My turn to take a stab at this cruise line. The problem for us was that we previously did a Disney Cruise! To save money last year we did Carnival which was a dump and it's Splendor Ship was falling apart. This summer Norwegian. I have never been on a ship so money hungry in my life. You are hit up for more dough with each turn on the ship. Our teensy balcony cabin was expensive to boot. Oh look an ice bar, their next words were "Well it's $26.00 to go in for a half hour" They do give you a watered down drink though so a bargain, haha! Wifi service they are doing you a favor for $175.00 each phone for the week. My only surprise was that when I used the lobby toilet they didn't charge me for the toilet paper so that was a plus. Wanna eat above the level of their normal dog food go to one of their fancier restaurants for an up fee of about $29.00 a person. You will soon learn it's the same food on the free buffet the next day. Hey in their defense that's cruising. Let's go entertainment. Did you or your kids love the Movie High School Musical. Well if so you are gonna love this ship's High School level performances. Cirque Dreams escaped my wrath and were excellent. On deck the 80's night blew my ears out. Still ringing a week later. If you are a drinker forget getting a buzz at all. I had three Long Island Iced Teas in hopes to feel something? But Nothing. I had to take a hit off the fresh paint on a railing to feel anything. There is a huge difference in making money and being greedy. I know I know it's a 1.2 Billion Dollar ship and they need to recoup their money, but not entirely every 3 months! Which brings me back to Disney. DISNEY was hands down the greatest cruise Ever. EXCELLENT Food, Entertainment and Service every step of the way. I had not one complaint. Disney's #1 goal is your 1000% satissfaction. Making money felt to be a far 2nd. Norwegian was the flip side. Turning you upside down to shake the change out of your pants #1 and your satisfaction last! I will say that I won't be surprised if Norwegian spends the money to have CruiseCritic.com take down my post.
