Embarkation: NCL's online check in was a bit buggy and not the best user friendly experience. For our party of four, we had four different boarding times because of said web site quirks, but fortunately we were able to all enter based upon the earliest time of one in our party. Check in was pretty quick and after processing our documents, we waited less than 30 minutes before we were allowed to board the ship (but first, the obligatory boarding photo!).

Cabin: small for four, probably fine for two. Based on past cruises, I thought that there would be two fold out beds on the wall. However, there was only one fold out bed. The fourth bed was hidden underneath one of the regular beds. So basically, if you are sharing 4 to a room, one will have to climb the ladder to sleep on the upper bunk bed, one will sleep on the lower "floor" bed in the middle of the room, and the other two passengers will sleep in the single beds that are in the standard cabin configuration. Since one of the regular beds housed the hidden floor bed, there was only space underneath one of the beds to store your luggage in but we managed okay. We were able to divide up the storage spaces and surprisingly, despite the cramped space, we made it work.

Cabin Review

Inside

Cabin IX

Forward cabin, could really feel the rocking of the ship. Small cabin, one one bunk bed folding down from the wall, the 4th bed is hidden underneath one of the standard beds and the cabin steward pulls it out in middle between the two beds when he/she turns down your cabin. So while the 3rd person sleeps on the bunk, the 4th person will sleep closer to the floor than the 1st and 2nd.

We actually loved the location because we were so close to the stairs and elevator. It sits right above the main theater, but we never heard or were disturbed by any activity on deck 7. The spa and gym are just 4 flights up and the entertainment floors just one down, so the location made it very easy to get around.
