This was our first Disney cruise with a family of 10 in 4 cabins; two inside and two ocean view. Embarkation was okay although it seemed we had to wait in the terminal longer than on other cruiselines. The ship was very clean and cabins kept very nice. We used the laundry often and although the washers are extremely small I did like the fact that no quarters were needed and a swipe of the room card charged it to the room. Our stateroom stewards and restaurant staff were extremely efficient and friendly. I did think some of the dining choices in the main dining room odd and lacking variety at times. Substitutions were not allowed but additions were, which tells me things aren't plated to order. Kids choices are very limited and my granddaughters ate pizza and mac 'n cheese at almost every meal. Buffet food was okay but not great.

We had one day in Nassau and chose the Dolphin Swim with dolphinencounters.com at BlueLagoon. Per an agreement with Disney, we could not book independently which really irks me so we had to give Disney some extra money and book with them. It was a very fun experience. Unfortunately, we had to walk through a very uncomfortable, crowded market area in Nassau to get back on the ship. I realize this is how many locals make their living but their pushiness made me even more determined not to stop, look, or listen.

We had two days in Castaway Cay which we found very relaxing. It was of course, crowded but no one had any problem finding a spot in the sand to sit. The buffet lunch was just so-so but when your hungry, it's not bad. A few of us did the Castaway Cay 5K which was fun. Note, you have to sign up on board the day before. The medals they give away, while plastic, are very cute and I'm proud of it! They don't keep track of individual times, you just look at the clock when you cross the finish line. Of course, we had to purchase the cute 5K shirts available in the gift shop next to the finish line.
