This was our 25th Anniversary Cruise and it was a great one! We have cruised many times with RC and have to say that this ship hands-down has the BEST crew! We have had other great experiences on other RC ships but this one was different. This crew seems truly happier than on any other ship we've ever been on. Maybe it's the management, i don't know, but whatever it is they should keep doing it! Fantastic vacation from the first minute to the last!!

We stayed at the Radisson Resort at the Port the night before. Awesome pool! 1.5 miles to the port and they have a shuttle but we got a van right outside to beat the rush. I think it was $7 per person. Well worth it!

Embarkation: Quick and painless! We are "Emerald" Crown and Anchor members and we were travelling with another couple that are "Gold" members so i asked at the check in desk if they could board with us (there are separate waiting areas for each level), and they said "Absolutely!". I just had to tell the woman at the waiting area as we entered and it was no problem. We left the hotel at 10am and were by the ship pool, first drink in hand by 10:45!

Cabin Review

Promenade Stateroom

Cabin PR

First time in a promenade stateroom, loved it!! The only draw back is that the vanity is curved in these cabins and so there are 3 rounded shelves where there would normally be drawers. you have to use the shelves in the closet instead if you want your things out of sight. The bed is bigger though and we loved people-watching from our window seat!

Would actually try to get this same room again, great location!

Our room attendant Althea was great!

Port Reviews

Labadee

Nice relaxing day on the beach. Chairs are free (we tipped the chair guy) and if you have the drink package it works here. If you get the "Labadoozie" you will be charged $3.95 for the cup. No big deal, just thought this was helpful info. Lunch is provided.

Grand Cayman (Georgetown)

Took the public bus (which is really a van) to Royal Palms for $2.50 each US$.

Its $4 to get in and beach chairs are $8 each. If you don't have kids and can find room at the pool, the chairs are free there so check there first because its a very short walk to the beach. (no one under 18 is allowed at the pool area)

Cozumel

We have been here 3 times and i don't remember people being so pushy before. The taxi drivers and people trying to rent you scooters will drive you crazy! You say no to one and the next guy is already asking you! We gave up on walking because we were so annoyed, went to Senor Frogs for nachos and a beer then got back on the ship. Had fun there in the past, not sure what changed. Maybe i'm just getting old lol

Will stay on the ship next time.
