We sailed 1/15 through 1/19/09 on the Grandeur and I unfortunately have mixed feelings about this ship!

Embarkation was very well organized and smooth! We are platinum but in this case it didn't matter much for check-in...there was a separate check-in line but all of the lines were very short when we arrived at the ship at 11AM after our flight to Tampa landed at 10AM. We were checked-in and offered lemonade and cookies while we waited in a holding area for approximately 25 minutes, then the boarding announcement was made! The only people allowed to board early were members of a wedding party.

As for other Platinum benefits...not so much. We received a Platinum coupon book in the cabin on the first day and several coupons were missing. We asked our steward about the missing coupons and he told us that the missing ones were no longer "valid". When we asked the Purser, we received a whole new coupon book. We also had to ask the Steward to bring us robes (which are usually standard for Platinum members). We did receive an invitation to a Loyalty Ambassador event, but we did not attend so I cant comment on that. The only other "bene" was the last nite we received C&A baseball caps in our room..
