Have cruised many times before. This was the first time with RCI
Boarding was simplicity after having done most of the admin previously on line
Accom - Our suite was centrally situated - it was essentially just a larger version of a normal cabin - thus it did not feel special. In our experience Costa, P&O and Cunard suites are sufficiently different from regular cabins to make the cost of upgrade worth it
Modern fixtures and fittings. Great widescreen TV. Lots of storage. Stocked mini bar. Nice bathroom with shower and quite small in length bath. Separate WC/washroom. Whoever designed the WC door to have a left hand hinge, had never used it. Totally the wrong way round. Good size balcony.
The down side is the cabin is just an upsized regular cabin - it doesn't feel special
Perfect location mid ships on deck 6 - immediately open hand for lifts - one deck up from the Royal Promenade
Just walk off. In 2 minutes you're in the centre of town
The ship docs on the edge of the Marina. Walk off and you're in town
Walk off not possible. Shuttle bus or taxi needed. EURO 25 to get to the popular old port area
Walk off the ship and you're in town. Lovely old city - could have stayed a week
Walk off the ship - the old town is right in front. Walk along the promenade. Square close by with restaurants and shops
Pretty tatty town with lots of Spain's 25% unemployment evident by empty shops and run down buildings Decent shopping street 1/2 mile away
