We went into the planning of this trip blind. Neither of us had ever been on a cruise before, and RCI, X, NCL, HAL, CCL was all just a whole lot of alphabet soup to us. Our wise travel agent asked us some questions and decided that the Celebrity Solstice would be the best fit for us. She was spot on.

LOVED

- The ship. It was wonderful. The interiors are statement-making without being cheesy. It was large enough that I rarely felt crowded, and at times, it seemed like we were among only a handful of people on board. Now that I’ve delved into Cruise Critic a little more, I’ve seen the reports of lines after long lines on some ships. That was not the case with the Solstice. There are also enough bright, inviting areas a bit off the beaten path to sit, read a book, and stare out the window at the glorious scenery.
