We sailed on the Getaway from 8/15/2015 to 8/22/2015. My second cruise, and first cruise with Norwegian. I was with my husband and 18 year old son. First of all, if you do go on this ship you must book the Haven. Without this, our cruise would have been totally lost. In the Haven, we found the only quiet place on the ship. This ship had over 1800 kids and you were aware of this at all times. We tried the buffet the first night, and never went back. Everyone was rude, and stepped all over you. The pool is WAY too small and we never managed to get a lounge chair. Thus, we hung out at the Haven the entire time and went into the hot tub. It was a godsend, but I longed for a real pool. The pool at the Haven is just a dipping pool. The entertainment was fair, again, rude and crowded. Bingo was a complete waste as was Deal or No Deal. The cruise director was not as involved as I wanted him to be.
We had the Ultimate drink and dining packages, which were good but not really worth it. I was disappointed that we did not feel comfortable going to the other restaurants due to the crowds and fact that people seemed to live in the buffet.
St Thomas: would return again. we went snorkeling on a self-booked excursion.
Nice and clean. The balcony was helpful and the shower was refreshing. Beds were good, but only 3 can fit into this room, although it says 4.
