VIKING STAR PASSAGE THROUGH WESTERN EUROPE

I was conflicted about how to write this review. we had the misfortune to be on the august 8 sailing delayed by the ship’s engine problems, so a review of our cruise will obviously be colored by this (hopefully) onetime event that would (again hopefully) not be an issue for future cruisers looking for feedback on the ship. so i will try to resolve this conflict by separating our cruise experience from the ship itself to as great an extent as possible. i’ll start with our tale of woe related to the august 8 sailing.

THE TRIP

Cabin Review

Cabin Deluxe Verandah

Our cabin (3055) was reasonably sized, comfortable and attractive. We could have used more drawer space but we managed. There were nice amenities such as a refrigerator, coffee maker and flat screen TV. The bathroom was large with real lotions and soap. We have heard stories of scalding floors and exploding shower glass, but we loved our heated floor and the shower was big and beautiful.
