We travelled on legend with a family of 4 kids aged 6 to 19. We choose the ship entirely for the ports of call/ summer vacation timing rather than for cruise company or ship type. Overall we have had a good holiday. All the staff have been excellent (cabin/ park cafe/ dining room/ entertainment staff/ kids team) keen to please and generally efficient. In the destinations (Taiwan/Manila/Puerto princesa/Malaysia/Brunei) we have organised local tours which have been excellent. We prefer less on mass hence have struggled with the main pool area (constant loud music) but also issues with finding a seat in the windjammer. Food of good standard but more 3.5 stars on this one. Ship keen on cleanliness found no probs here. Entertainment has been good but beyond 10pm no family entertainment options. Good mix of ages and nationalities. Weather has not been great so at sea days sometimes a struggle. Overall ship has delivered a good standard on all fronts, but improvements at embarkation in Hong Kong needed and windjammer seating is a constant issue. Would we travel on rccl again yes but only if ports of call of interest and perhaps 7 day cruise/less at sea days more for us. We like the size of legend so would possibly travel on it again or a newer version with rccl or another company.
Same size as narrow hotel room. Of good standard. Shower decent strength. Bed comfy. Struggled with size of double bed. It's a double not a king. Pretty clean. Family of 6 in three junior suites, would struggle with anything smaller.
