Having been on The Navigator of the Seas in 2013 for my first ever cruise and for my long-time friends' wedding onboard the ship, my own honeymoon was an obvious choice - The Allure of the Seas!

OK, first of all, your cruise holiday is what you make of it. If you are kind and polite to the staff, this is largely reciprocated. I try and remember that although they chose their jobs, they are away from their friends and family.

Upon speaking to many of the staff, we learnt that they don't even get a day off, just a few hours and not long enough to visit ports of call, so please bear that in mind.

Very clean and the bed was so comfy!!!!!!

Enjoyed the animal towel sculptures! Especially the monkey - amazing!!!!!! (tip - monkey had my sunglasses on, so leave yours lying around as props!)

Our cabin attendant, Omeli, was outstanding and when he heard it was our honeymoon he promised us a surprise - we had a bottle of champagne and 2 x towelling bathrobes waiting for us when we returned to our cabin!
