Let me start by saying we had a great vacation and would probably cruise with NCL again if the dates/itinerary/price were right.

Having sailed with most of the major lines - Royal Caribbean, Princess, Celebrity, Holland, and Carnival - we were surprised at how different things were on NCL.

There are aspects to the Freestyle Cruising that I liked but overall I felt like it creates a very impersonal atmosphere between staff and customers. The service was not poor, but of all the cruises I have taken over the years, the service on the Getaway was the "least good." Read more
