My girlfriend and I didn't expect to take a cruise until 2016, so when she unexpectedly got some vacation time we were E-LATED that this Elation sailing fit out plans perfectly. I have been on her a few times already, but this was her first time. I don't know about everyone else, but for me the Elation isn't the ship you seek out it's kinda the one you end up on. What I mean is that each time I have sailed on her it was because of price, convenience, or schedule.

We drove from Saint Louis two nights before and stayed in the Intercontinental in downtown NOLA, it was a very nice hotel right in the heart of everything we wanted to check out. We had breakfast at Cafe Du Monde and were on our way to the terminal about 1030. We had Faster to the Fun for the first time and overall I thought it was worth it. We were on the ship about three minutes after the wedding parties, one diamond cruiser, and the platinum's.

The ship is very worn but kept very clean, you always saw folks keeping it up. Our room was U110 and it was a different setup than I've ever had, I guess because it is setup for three guests. The luggage was waiting at the door, hers was at least, I accidentally packed my wine instead of carrying it on so it got flagged and destroyed. Our cabin steward, Dennis was excellent and took care of everything and not once disturbed us if we slept in or anything! He even secured a pair of dress socks that somehow didn't get packed.
