We ( 2 adults +1 child) booked very late , approx 4 weeks before sailing. We had a very good deal and we could only sail within strict dates due to work.Hence this was the only available cruise .
Once booked we read the reviews and were a bit apprehensive ( one review stated passenger was bored ) HOWEVER we had such a fantastic time aboard a wonderful ship I felt compelled to leave a review.
We have previously travelled 4 times with a Southampton based family friendly cruise company so this is our only comparison.
Small stateroom with even smaller balcony !!! Had we paid full price we possibly would have highlighted small balcony to guest services ( it is the smallest we have had in our cruises) however it was an adequate room that met all our needs .The balcony was enough for us to view the sea ( we were lucky to spot dolphins ) and view docking in port.
Room was comfy, well equipped and the attendent great .
Pull man bed was above our heads - wasn't keen on this at first however I soon realised this was better as it meant we weren't tripping over a sofa bed!
Room was cosy for the three of us ( our child is 10 years ) however if third person is an adult the room would probably be too small.
Room was situated near lift area - no noise ever heard and was in a good position ( level 5 for Royal promenade easy to walk down to ) level 11 for gym - straight up in lifts which were not main lifts so not much waiting for them.
In all cosy comfy stateroom with lovely attendent and small balcony.
