Our 3rd cruise on Carnival....I thought Mexico cruise was much better. PROS: Staff is very friendly and helpful. Room was always clean and room service food was better than lots of the food you had to wait in line to get...You are able to find something to eat anytime of day.

Kids Club was fine. I wish they would not allow men to be caregivers - just statistically isn't a good idea for Carnival with higher # of men being abusers.

Cons: I thought Alaska was boring. Juneau was fun and Tracy Arm Fjord were beautiful but not worth 7 days of cruising in my opinion. I learned that the cruise ships own the jewelry shops in the port cities so they have ulterior motive to get you in there and buy stuff. Skagway and Ketchikan were okay but I would rather have spent more time in Victoria, Canada. I enjoyed meeting Musher and dogs in Skagway/Matt was a great speaker. The gold mining was awful. Rude staff who grabbed my child's gold pan when she scraped the bottom.

Great room with balcony.

Port Reviews

Juneau

We caught a bus and explored Mendenhall Glacier. Saw a bear! Beautiful

Victoria

Took double decker bus for $10 round trip. 5 year old thought it was fun. Walked around and had great time!
