First let me get the negatives out of the way. The staff lacks enthusiasm and customer service is not what I expected. Let me give you a few examples, first night on the cruise, we were walking on deck 8 and around 9:30 pm as we passed Cagney's Steak House (specialty -$29.95 pp), we decided to ask if we could get a table. All tables outside were empty and the restaurant was half empty too. The hostess first told us that we needed a reservation, I told her that we had bought the Ultimate Dining Package (UDP) and that the cruise promoted a free-style dining system. She looked annoyed and told us to wait. We waited a few minutes but when she came back, I wanted to let her know that a table outside (no A/C) was fine with us as well. Not only she looked annoyed and bothered again but the look she gave me along with her rude answer was enough for us to leave.

Another time, one of the kids in the group was playing in a buffet table and he dropped the ceramic container where they put the sugar packets. One of the buffet attendants came to our table looking very upset and just asked for the room number. We first thought that he was trying to look serious to impress the child, we even told the kid that he got us in trouble for not behaving. Well, we continued eating and about 5 minutes later he came back, very angrily accused my friend of giving him the wrong cabin number on purpose. We told him that we did not but he continued to press the issue telling us that he even asked twice. This is when we got offended, first we don't care about the small charge and if we wanted to mislead him, we would had walked out of there the minute he left. We told him we wanted to talk to his supervisor, he said ok and never came back. We tried to located him to get his name to file a complaint but he just disappeared after that.

There were a couple of more bad experiences, one at the photo shop and another with a bartender but these 2 were the most egregious. Read more
