Booked a cruise and stay and spent a week in Salou, Spain and then a week aboard the Epic. I was with my mum and dad (who cruise often but never with NCL), my husband and 2 year old son. Both my husband and I have never cruised, so we have nothing to compare it with, but i absolutely loved it!! Firstly the service is amazing - staff seem extremely hard working, they are always friendly and smiling and want to help as much as they can. They go out of their way to help you and i especially loved how much they interacted with my little boy. The staff are very attentive and made the holiday for us. I really hope that the 13% compulsory gratuity that you have to pay each day goes to them directly. We had the Ultimate Beverage Package which i the best way to drink every night without spending too much!! it does have a few exceptions though which was slightly annoying eg didnt include bottled water, coffee etc or drinks over $11, but it didn't really affects us. I thought food was great, we mainly ate in the complimentary restaurants but did treat ourselves to Tepenyaki one night and loved it - great chef!! Loved my breakfast in the morning - lots and lots of choice.

Perhaps my only criticism was the lack of activities for my boy as the kids club was for 3 years and over. They only provide a little room with a few toys spread about for them to play with. The pool on the boat is quite small and the kids one is tiny!! Too many kids in a small space really spoiled the experience.

The spa is nice and huge, but i thought it to be very expensive. but what i disliked the most was that i was pestered to buy expensive products after each of the treatments i had and this made for an uncomfortable situation.

Cabin Review

Mid-Ship Balcony

Cabin BA

Our cabin was great, very clean and we had a balcony (8023) it was also very quiet at night. I found the boat itself to be very quiet in general. This room is on the lowest deck and is exposed/has no roof which i enjoyed as it meant more sun. It was near the front of the ship.
