We flew into Fairbanks a day early to take Barrow Excursion, great experience! We started in Fairbanks with The Norwegian land tour, it was very nice. Riverboat in Fairbanks, domed top railroad, and the Denali tundra tour were all great. Wished we had a bit more time to hike around in Denali. The cruise was great although we got there a bit late in the day missed some of the fun to be had before the ship sets sail. The food on board was abundant although it took us awhile to find the best place for us. Wished the pizza had been available later in afternoon as a snack after returning from our excursions. Main restrauants were very nice and the change of half the menu daily was great! Evening entertainments were great, singers and dancers, comedian and El Goucho all were good entertainment. Staff was helpful and friendly! JoAnn was a great steward and we met a bartender from St. Lucia who we talked with as well. We'd been to St. Lucia earlier this year. Wished at times there had been more wandering bartenders at Star Dust Theater.
Nice- lots of hanging areas, plenty of drawers and love the space under the bed to stow empty suitcases. We always get a balcony and didn't think it would matter in Alaska but glad we did. Sat out often and the views of Sawyer Glacier and the fiords was great!
