This was our tenth cruise with Oceania Line ships. Our fourth cruise on Marina. Needless to say that we are very well satisfied with Oceania and our experiences on board and in port.
The Baltic Region is one area of the world that we never visited until this cruise. We find that cruising gives us a feel for the ports so that in the event we want to return to visit them in depth at a later date we will know which ones to see. We used the ship's transfer from the airport direct to the ship. Only down side to that was the wait for all the passengers on various flights to gather and load the transportation. Adding to the wait was London's closing streets delaying all transportation in and out of the city for an athletic event that day. Once on board we were "at home" and comfortable again. Two sea days in two weeks meant that we were off the ship most of the time. Leaving early on private tours and returning as late as permitted meant little or no late night-life for us.
We ate in the MDR, all specialty venues, Terrace, High Tea, and every breakfast was room service ordered the night before. This allows us to save time in the morning. Room service is our wake-up call as they call 15 minutes before they deliver it. We sleep very comfortably on board our cabin is usually mid-ship, port side over the gangplank.
