This was my third or fourth trip on the Valor. I have been on other ships in the Carnival fleet as well as most other non carnival ships. I think what happens is that the ship companies take things away from each sailing that you don't miss at first, but then it suddenly dawns on you that there is very little left.

In the old days if you didn't say the food was wonderful, the waiters were penalized, so we all raved about it. Which led to very little change of the food getting better. Now the food is passable at best. Mostly not. I do miss the midnight and 1 AM buffets, but let's face it, how much food can you eat and waste. It would be nice to have one late one just to give you something to look forward to. The ships have even stopped putting a chocolate on your pillow every night. The service is still wonderful. Waiters, stewards, even mechanics smile and offer to help you.

The shows are cheezy, but it is obvious the people are talented. The comedians were pretty good.

Cabin Review

Balcony

Cabin 8D

Since there were 4 of us in 1 room it was very tight. But we knew beforehand that would be the case. The room steward Rolando was absolutely terrific. There were 2 teenage girls with us who left all of their clothing and cosmetics in piles all over the room and bathroom. Rolando never complained and managed to make this room as presentable as his magic powers would allow.

Port Reviews

Belize City

Tender takes about 15, 20 minutes to get to the area. We shipped and went for lunch before returning back to ship.

Costa Maya

Time on this island was short. Did a little shopping and went back to ship.

Port Canaveral (Orlando)

Always try to leave out of this port because we live in Orlando. 40 minutes away
