We very much enjoyed our time on the Maasdam. The ship has been impeccably maintained and of course the HAL crew/staff are all top-notch. No complaints and I even won in the casino! Canada/New England has some very rural stops as well as Montreal and Quebec. We always take the ship excursions if we are leaving the port where we're docked just so we know we will make it back without any problems. This was the case in both Montreal (ship-airport transfer/tour) as well as Quebec. Tour guides were great and added humor to the tours. We ate in all the venues and enjoyed the main dinning room more this time. Canelettos and Pinnacle are good, but we enjoyed the pulse of life in the main dinning. Also enjoyed the snack bar poolside. If we have a complaint, it is that Maasdam does not have a thermal pool; it has whirlpools and the famous "hot chairs", but not enough room for a thermal pool. Spa and exercise room were clean and smelled fresh. Good driver, too, with an exciting departure from Boston. Don't miss the bridge at Quebec, close fit!
