We chose this short sampler 3 night cruise just to see what P&O Australia had to offer. As we live in North Qld embarking from Brisbane was convenient and we had booked a suite so from dropping our luggage to boarding the ship took about 30 minutes. Unfortunately Brisbane must have the worst port facilities in the world - the sooner the upgrades are completed the better.

Pacific Dawn was a real surprise, for such an old lady, she was so pretty!! Truly, that was the feel of this ship - light, bright, warm colours. Very clean, and surprisingly easy to get around.

We found our suite no problem and again what a lovely surprise. Lots of room, clean, bright, modern, well laid out, all you could require for a 30 day cruise let alone 3. For those who have never had a suite (like us, usually in a balcony cabin) it had a walk in wardrobe that led through to the bathroom which had a bath. What a luxury on a cruise ship.

Cabin Review

Cabin Suite

Brilliant - warm, bright, modern. Has two TVs, bed was ok but no top sheet so felt like the bed short sheeted. Big walk thru wardrobe, great bathroom, terrible shower - no water temperature control!!
