Sail Date: Aug 2015
Cabin: Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

We cruised on the Getaway from August 8 through August 15 with good friends of ours. We are not new to cruising; this was our 44th cruise and we have sailed on 6 star vessels as well as 3 star ships. There is no such thing as a "bad" cruise...maybe just one that could have been better.

I will make this review brief, listing my "pros" first because they certainly outweigh my "cons."

PRO: The ship is absolutely gorgeous and CLEAN! A lot of thought went into the decorating of this vessel. However, whoever designed the atrium area with its exposure to several floors (levels) made a huge error, in my opinion. The casino is not isolated, but is situated right next to the open atrium area. CON: The cigarette smoke infiltration was terrible for me because I suffer from migraine headaches, with the main trigger being cigarette smoke. I could not seem to escape it and had to ask for "back" seating in the corners of speciality restaurants so it would minimize the effect.

Cabin Review

Mini-Suite with Large Balcony

Cabin M6

PRO: We had a mini-suite on a great deck--deck 8--very close to everything. The bathroom was beautiful with a shower that could not be beat.

CON: The cabin itself was small. While the beds were comfortable, my husband and I truly had trouble dressing at the same time. We were always getting in each other's way.
