Cabin: Balcony

We had previously cruised on Princess Cruise Line, and loved every minute! Surprisingly, Cunard, showed itself to be a step down. Certainly, not something we anticipated.

Cabin: Our balcony stateroom was very comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed. However, It is important to note that we were on the 11th floor, and our room vibrated as if it were over the ship's engine. This occurred while we were still in port, as well as when we were at sea.

Dining: Upon arrival, we walked around the ship to learn our way, and arrived for dinner at The Britannia Restaurant at the time scheduled on our 'tickets'. There was also a table number assigned. We soon came to learn that the allotted time and table were inaccurate, and when we arrived were told to 'WAIT' on a long line before we could be seated. Restaurant staff told us that someone needed to take us to our table, and no one was available. The line was quite long, and many guests started complaining and left to go to the buffet on another deck. The food in The Britannia was just 'okay', nothing 'cruise worthy', nor at all appealing. The menu left much to be desired. Other guests sent their food back several times, and made comments like, "This has truly changed!" For the remainder of the cruise, we frequented the 12th floor buffet.

Our balcony stateroom was very comfortable, clean, and nicely appointed. Our steward was wonderful, and cleaned our room in as very timely and thorough fashion. The balcony was wonderful and helped to make the entire experience memorable! It is important to note that we were on the 11th floor, and our room vibrated as if it were over the ship's engine. This occurred while we were still in port, as well as when we were at sea. To this day we don't know what it was and why it vibrated throughout.
