We packed the night before in Dingmans Ferry PA - off to bed early (9PM) and up early at 3:30 AM - quick shower and in the car by 4 AM. By 5:30 AM we were parked in the Economy Lot G at Newark Liberty Airport NJ. A short shuttle bus ride later we got dropped off at Terminal C for our 7 AM departure on Continental. Checked our bags inside the terminal - absolutely nobody in line. Strolled down to the gate and sat down at 6 AM. Explored the waiting area and found coffee/donuts to pass the time. Boarded the FULL flight and took off for San Juan uneventfully. Landed in San Juan ahead of schedule around 11 AM. Byt the time we reached the baggage claim area, picked up our two bags (small and under 50 lbs - to include formal wear) without a wait and then out to the transportation pickup. Did not see any other folks wishing to share a cab so booked minivan for my wife and I to the Princess cruise pier for $30 to include liberal tip (the guy was nice and had family in a town we once lived in - Dover NJ).

We queued up in line in the terminal. The line was the typical zig-zag like one sees at the attractions at Universal Studios (have you done that yet?). At any rate, the line moved slowly but steadily. It became apparent while in line that we could purchase some liquid refreshments - cokes and gold R _ _. By the time I reached the end of the line - my wife returned in time to join me at the check-in kiosk. Presented the obligatory credit card and passports - and we then received our onboard cards promptly with a hearty welcome to Princess.

We passed through the screening without and fanfare (with any package goods in our carry on backpacks). Then past the pre-cruise photo shoot and onto the cruise boat card entry screening. That's where your picture is stored on the card for later on and off processing at each port.
