This cruise was a very needed escape for my wife and I! It started out a little shaky when the bus dropped us off in the parking lot with myself, wife, granddaughter along with seven (7) pieces of luggage and told us we were on our own to make it to the ship. Not to good especially when I am partially handicapped! That being said however, the cruise itself was awesome! Especially the days at sea, it was ver, very relaxing! We booked the owners Haven Suite H2 15000 and was quite please with the suite. It had a wrap around veranda and we could see everything from the mid ship we had a birds eye view of the pool deck and the ports as we entered them. Unfortunately we had the worse butler which ever has been assigned to our cabin. He was constantly late with our food and most of the time our food was served cold. That being said the food was excellent and the specialty restaurants were awesome. I would highly reccomend Cagneys Steak House and the Lebistro for the french queisine. Very good dinning.
Of all the ports of call my favorite two were Ephesus in Turkey and Nice in France. In Turkey I found the people to be very accomodating and cordial. They have a neat custom of offering you this special tea as a gesture of welcoming you. In Nice we had a wonderful shore excursion and was able to go to a number of the markets where you coulsd take advantage of the local deals from the local artist. This is a cruise I would highly recommend, The Ultimate Medditerean Cruise!
Our cabin was awesome! We were perched up in the crows nest and could see everything from the pool decks to the entrance of each port as our ship arrived. It had both a starboard and port balcony along with butler service, although we got shorted on the butler choice because he was very slow and most of the time delivered our meals to us cold! That being said we thoroughly enjoyed our suite.
