Cabin: Mid-Ship Balcony

This was our 8th cruise, 1st on Norwegian. Loved that this is a new ship.

We had a balcony cabin. Bathroom had the best layout on a ship yet. Seems that the extra space in the bathroom cuts down on the bedroom space (one nighttable vs two on Princess). Love that there's a coffee maker (with coffee!) in the room. As with most cabins, shortage of outlets. Cabin was smaller than other ship cabins we've had (all balcony cabins). I liked the bright colors. The small couch was nice but I missed 2 decent-sized night tables. Very limited TV channels though on the Norwegian channels they had some funny comments like: inbox; empty (boohoo). Also the time is on the screen with (not that it matters) underneath. Cute. The cabin did need a good dusting; with sunlight pouring in you could see dust on all surfaces. Liked the bathroom dispensers for soap and shampoo. We didn't have access to the minibar on a 1-nighter. Sheets on bed looked nice but close-up were very pilled.

Very nice outside areas. Wide promenade deck that went all the way around. Forward sundeck with nice loungers, water slide, pool, hot tubs. Nice aft outdoor dining area (too cold in January!). Many many bars all over the ship and lots of restaurants to try. Spinnaker lounge was very funky! I liked the decor a lot. We ate lunch in the aft dining room upon boarding and it was very good. A little slow, but the servers were very friendly and enjoyable. Breakfast in the buffet was mayhem. Though a hostess tried to tell people they could get omelets at other stations, people were hesitant to lose their place in the long line. Very crowded. Purell would be better near tables as opposed to entering dining room where you will have to touch utensils many times.
