This is my 6 th cruise, 3 with Royal. This was the trip of a lifetime for my family and my sisters. I am sure, like most of you, a 12 day cruise like this is a dream come true that you saved up for. In the past we have loved, I mean loved Royal Caribbean!! We had been on The Freedom and Liberty of the Seas. Had I known that it would be like driving a Porsche and then driving a "rent a clunker" I would never have chosen Vision. It was the only ship that had that itinerary.
I do not even know where to begin. First of all. I have never seen so many miserable people in my life. Kids and more kids, 400 to be exact, normally not so bad, but now cram them into one very, very small pool with NO supervision whatsoever and you have a bunch of sardines kicking and splashing. Oh, there is a very small adult pool but it is covered with a roof and was closed for a day because someone had an "accident" we don't go on cruises to sit inside. Kids were everywhere screaming and yellin, everywhere you went people were trying g to sell you something. It was as if I was on a 24/7 timeshare trip!
The first night you sit down you get hit with going to the other restaurants where you pay. The food in the "cafeteria" was no better tha "the mess tent" as my husband put it. It was disgusting. The boat always smelled of sewage. Crew was miserAble and kept saying this boat was being sold. Oh, and this is not just this ship, but when did a rum punch go for $14? Oh and they pushed and pushed drink and food packages on you every second!
