Sail Date: Jul 2015

This is an old ship, although very clean, and does not compare to the ships we have sailed on in our 80+ cruises. The customer demographic is different from other ships and it was obvious many of the guests had never before been on a cruise or, in too many cases, even learned the rudiments of proper behavior or basic manners. Alas, that is not the company's fault.

The entertainment is no more or less sophmoric than on other ships and many enjoyed the talent. We did, although we cannot rave about it. Our three young teenaged grandchildren really enjoyed it.

The food is good, better than expected. The pool is small and the surrounding deck area shows the age of the ship. The bed was comfortable and the small bathroom was adequate. Our rooms were barely cool but others were intolerably warm; we understand that issue has been addressed. There are no individual controls in the room. The elevators are tiny and claustrophobic but we were always able to get on promptly despite the fact there was a mobility scooter in our group. No suites were available so we booked ocean-view rooms which were very small and did not have sofas or comfortable chairs - only a luggage racks and a hard chairs at the desks. There is no fridge in the room and one has to request (beg for) ice. There is adequate storage space. Room service is very limited and no free beverages are available but you can get, and pay for, sodas and alcoholic drinks...clever. Guests are advised to go to the Food Service areas to get coffee or ice tea - which defeats the purpose of ordering room service but did not bother us.
