I traveled with my in-laws and brother in law. We had 3 girls around 9 with us. We traveled to Baltimore arriving the night before the cruise. We stayed at. Hampton Inn Glen Burnie. It was good for the night and we left our car there and they shuttled us to the pier. The port boarding process is smooth and easy. We were on board at 11. The ship is a nice size and very clean. We had room 3034 with a window. My 9 year old had a bunk bed which she loved. I sailed on this ship prior to renovation. I did notice the TV and bathroom sink upgrades. I thought the room was great. The service was EXCELLENT all over the ship. The mdr food is good. The worst selections were soup and steak. We did have lobster one night. The windjammer is really good for any meal with a crazy variety of food. The adult pool is fantastic and has panannies, wraps, yogurts, salads during the day. It's like a spa in the adult only area. Someone said the movies on the outdoor pool screen were old....nope not so. We saw movies just out on DVD which were pretty good and family friendly. My kid watched the movie from the hot tub. The shows were ok. The centrum parties were super energetic. The aerial show was amazing.
The drinks were really great and strong. My trick is to order the drink of the day priced at about 9.50 after the tip. As the week went on I noticed drink specials like 50 percent off. My crown and anchor card got me some offers on board that I used. Also we both have rci credit cards and managed a 250 dollar on board credit. My singular complaint was the time frame we had in port. We arrived at Port canaveral at 11 am so we stayed on the boat as nothing seemed interesting. At Nassau we arrived at 1 pm. We went to Balmoral Island and had a blast. When we got back from excursion at 7...all the shops were closed. Coco cay is fun just for hitting the beach and the ship brings lunch to the island, very nice. The fitness area was great but at sea days very crowded. I walked t h e outdoor track a lot. I did not rock climb or use the spa. I did not try a specialty restaurant. I felt I was eating way to much mostly to want to pay for dinner. Also a tip...pastries are free at Starbucks.
Great location.nice. view.
