Never having had a suite before, we were in for a great treat with our score of a sky suite. More than the larger room and bathroom, the butler, canapés, or flowers, the entitlement of dining at Luminae was the highlight of our ship experience. The food and the ambience were superb as well as the pampered attention by all of the Luminae staff.

The itinerary was excellent. Embarkation in a Venice went very smoothly. We used a Celebrity transfer for our 9am flight, and we were on the ship before 11 am. Lunch at Luminae started at 11:30 am so our day started perfectly. One sore point....At the top of the escalator in the terminal, we saw a cubicle advertising the purchase of euros. I am afraid we fell prey to this money making service and paid just under $400 for 300 euros. I am disappointed that Celebrity allows this company to do business right by the line for checking in. It appeared to country bumpkins like us that they are connected. If I had used the ship's ATM, which people say is costly, it would have cost around $350. Lesson learned.

We had very good, but hot, weather. This was of course expected. The seas were like glass the whole trip. The pools were always crowded, but the towel supply and lounge availability was good. We always were able to get a drink on any of the bars without waiting, and the bar tenders and coffee attendants were very friendly. Our steward and assistant did an excellent job with our room, and the butler was always willing to help. Mnow ever, we didn't need his services very often.
