Having reading many poor reviews on here in recent weeks regarding the Explorer I must say I was very concerned prior to sailing. The so call 'refurbishment' of the Adventure last year was barely evident but I was assured when booking that the Explorer was going into dry dock for over a month and yes, I have to agree that the refurbishment was evident with new carpets, curtains & TV in the room. New furniture was evident in Windjammers as well as in other entertainment areas. Overall very impressed with the work that had been done.

Our room, a balcony cabin, was spotless and a distinct improvement to other RCI ships we have been on thanks to the refurb.

Unlike some other comments in reviews we had no trouble getting served at bars or by the walking barmen who walking miles around the pool deck and lounges taking orders.
