Purchased the cruise and fly package through MSC and was extremely pleased with everything. I was traveling with my sister, we stayed in an interior stateroom and purchased the all inclusive drink package (worth the money!) Transfer from airport to port in Rome was easy. The only downside was that we arrived at the port around 9am and were not allowed to board the ship until after 1230pm. There was nothing to do at this port while we waited. Once on board, our room was not ready until 1:30pm but that really wasn't a big deal for us as we explored the ship and ate lunch while we waited.

We enjoyed our breakfasts and lunches in the buffet each day--it was crowded but we were always able to find seats and the foods for both breakfast and lunch were enjoyable. We especially enjoyed the salad bar at lunch! We had several dinners in the Black Crab restaurant and were pleased with the variety of dishes offered each evening.

We found the staff to be friendly and accommodating in all areas of the ship. The ship is beautiful! It is very clean and well maintained. We enjoyed the entertainment in the various lounges each night. We found seats near the pool each day with no problem.

La Spezia (Cinque Terre)

Did the "Florence on your own" excursion. Enjoyed the large amount of free time provided to explore the city.
