Agree with many other folks that the Eurodam is definitely in need of a facelift - tired furnishings & worn appearance. Shore excursions add HUGE dollars to your overall cost. Yes, the liquor policy is very restrictive; each person may bring ONE bottle of wine at the beginning of the cruise but then you must pay for HAL'S overpriced alcohol. No more bringing ANY liquor on board. You are encouraged to buy internet packages - no mention that you find free internet in the ports & on many of the tour buses. Constantly bombarded with messages to buy all sorts of stuff on board. Enough! Also agree that the Lido food area is usually chaotic. Tamarind Asian Restaurant wonderful!
However, we found the crew to be very friendly & helpful. The cruise director & destination specialist made a delightful duo. Destinations interesting though it would be great if HAL let you know in advance exactly where the ship would dock in relationship to the city.
We may consider another HAL cruise just because of itinerary that is only available with them.
Worn furnishings. Blah décor.
