Cabin: The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

My husband and I, along with our 3 young-adult/teenage sons, just arrived home after our cruise to Bermuda on the Breakaway. This is our second NCL trip, the first on the Epic.

We stayed in 2 cabins in The Haven which I'd highly recommend if your budget allows. While we like the amenities of a big ship that Breakaway has to offer, The Haven is a private, peaceful slice of heaven away from the crowds of the rest of the ship. With it's own quite pool, restaurant and bar, The Haven's staff are service-oriented and helpful. Our cabin steward and butler were very attentive without being intrusive. Only complaint from my husband and adult son is that The Haven's massage therapist is relentless in trying to get you to book an appointment with her. At some points, chasing us down to try and convince us that we needed a massage!

Food/Bars - we dined in The Haven restaurant, most of the specialty restaurants, the buffet and O'Sheehans. In all, service was good, food okay, but nothing amazing. Best service was at the Teppanyaki. Our waiter was the best we experienced on the ship and the teppanyaki chef was great. The best food was at Ocean Blue. We were disappointed in Le Bistro. Extremely slow service and we felt like they were completely understaffed here. Enjoyed the various bars around the ship.

Cabin Review

The Haven 2-Bedroom Family Villa with Balcony

Cabin H4

Great space! This is our second time staying in this type of room in The Haven. Plenty of room for a family. Beautiful bathroom attached to the master bedroom. Balcony is a little small, but the living space in the cabin makes up for this. I'd highly recommend The Haven. It's a slice of heaven on a crowded, loud ship.

Port Reviews

New York (Manhattan)

Great place to start your cruise. We spent 3 days exploring the city beforehand. Once on the boat, we were ready for relaxing!
