I travelled with a mixed group that travels together yearly. It is approx 40 of us that cruise yearly. I travel with my 16yo son and 12yo daughter. Honestly, The Dream was the worst cruise experience we've had. We started in New Orleans at The St. Pierre on Burgundy. They were remarkable. Once we embarked the first thing I noticed was that the ship was very worn and dated in areas. We were on the 11th floor. Our room temperature could never stay comfortable. The first few days the AC was broken. The last few days it was frigid. I wasn't informed that I was in a spa room with "spa privileges" until 2 days before we went home. Wasted time. Our Cruise Director was Hennie van Heerden who was not friendly and very, very boring. This ship had so much down time with nothing to do. It's almost as if they are pushing you to sit in the casino, spend money in the quarter machines and drink. From 1pm to 6:30pm on the day we ported in Cozumel there was nothing to do on board but trivia and a liquor for less event. If you were like us and unfortunate enough to have late dinner seating you may never see an event or have any scheduled plans after dinner (other than maybe a 1/2hr comedy show). Those shows and karaoke tend to run at the same time so you can not do both. Karaoke ends at midnight. The club ends at 1:30 and for the rest of the night you are on your own. Speaking of the club, the security must have thought the guests were little kids because they spent their time policing how closely they danced together and telling women not to sit on the men's laps. Smh. (Buzz kill)

Then there are the Club Carnivals for the kids. There was alot of unsupervised downtime in the club (circle c). During the day the kids were bored if they didn't want to be in the pools or spend money in the arcade. My daughter spent alot of time in the cabin watching Boomerang TV and playing on her tablet.

When it rained the boat leaked horribly. There were buckets everywhere trying to catch water. An entire section of Lido was blocked of from the leaking.
