We celebrated our son's college graduation with a cruise on the Carnival Paradise, in June. It was our first cruise experience, and had a wonderful time! The staff was so polite, and treated us like royalty! The one regret we had was not taking advantage of the shore excursion information provided by the staff. We disembarked and shopped the array of souvenir stores close to the port. We were going to explore the local area beyond the port, but felt a little uneasy with the shop owners/employees constant shouting to get us to shop in their stores. With the tensions around the world at an all-time high, we didn't feel safe. Looking back at that situation, we should've traveled Cozumel with other people from the ship!

In spite of the experience in Cozumel, we had a blast on the cruise!

My wife and I decided to take our 2nd cruise one month after our first, and had a great time, since we were more familiar with the activities on the ship! Although we didn't participate in any formal shore excursions, we did venture out beyond the port, to see a little more of Cozumel!
